Paragraph from Helen

Harvest Festival, together we can impact our community in practical support and with the message of God’s word.

Harvest is a very important time for us at Redcar Area Foodbank as it allows us to replenish our stocks for one of our busiest times of the year. Your donations at our Harvest Festival Service allows us to continue to feed local people in food poverty and gives us the opportunity to share God’s message. By giving your donations, you are helping us to impact our community with God’s love and support.

Donating food is just one simple way you can be involved, currently we are very low on the following items and ask if you wish to contribute to our Harvest Festival on the 15th October please could you consider donating the following;

Long Life Fruit Juice, Tinned Meat, Tinned Fish, Tinned Tomatoes, Tinned Fruit, Small jars of Coffee, Jam, Instant Mash and any Sweet Treats.

It’s all part of God’s Mission and that’s why serving and caring for people inside our church community and outside our walls is so important.

Another very simply and easy way to do this is to support our very own Footprints Cafe held every Wednesday 11am till 2pm. All the profits from the Cafe allows us to give the Foodbank clients a free meal when they attend. Yes, it is a Cafe with a difference as it is a Foodbank Centre run alongside but if you come along and try us you might be pleasantly surprised. Just ask someone who comes! Not only is the food freshly cooked, deliciously inexpensive and very yummy, the Cafe has a great atmosphere, volunteers who are all very friendly willing to help and chat and most of all gives you the feel for what we at the Cafe are all about – community.

Thank you for your continued support.
